Exploring

Agentic Learning

A voice-driven learning environment where an agent coordinates notes, teaching, practice, revision, and progress around the student's goal.

Next experiment: Define one narrow learning loop: diagnose a concept, teach it, test recall, record the weakness, and schedule a revision.

The question

What if a student did not have to operate the learning app at all?

Instead of navigating tools for notes, quizzes, revision, and progress, the student could state a goal such as “I have a physics test next Friday. Help me prepare for it.” The agent would coordinate the learning environment around that goal.

The role of the agent

The agent would not replace thinking or hand out answers. Its job is to manage a learning cycle:

Learn -> Attempt -> Evaluate -> Identify weakness -> Explain -> Practice -> Re-test -> Revise

It could organize notes, identify prerequisites, teach progressively, capture recurring misconceptions, create targeted practice, and adapt revision from a student’s actual history. Voice would reduce the friction of operating the system, letting students focus on what they want to learn rather than which feature to open.

What needs testing

The key open questions are how autonomous the agent should be, how to prevent incorrect teaching, how to identify genuine understanding, when to interrupt, how much control the student retains, and where deterministic software should take over from an AI model.
